How to play Need for Speed II: SE Windows
Download Need for Speed II Special Edition to your PC.
Download the file nGlidesetup_105.exe from http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide
Download the file nfs2se_patch.zip from http://www.zeus-software.com/files/nglide/nfs2se_patch.zip
Unzip NFS II SE to your PC. Whichever directory you wish to use.
Run nGlidesetup_105.exe to install it on your PC. Double click on the file or right click it and hit “Open”
Unzip the files from nfs2ese_patch.zip to any directory you wish. Go to the file PatchInstall.bat and run the file as an administrator. Find the file, I used the one in the directory that says “NSFE PATCH (use for playing).” Right click on the PatchInstall.bat file. On the menu, the fourth item down should say “Run as Administrator”. Click that and you will see the file run.
Find the file in the NFS II SE directory called nsf2sea.exe. Right click on it and go to Properties. Go to the tab Compatibility. Under Run the Program in Compatibility Mode set it for Windows 7. Apply the Compatibility mode, click on the Apply button on the bottom of the menu. Double click on nsf2sea.exe and get to racing!
